Description: Hebrews was written to Jews who had believed in Jesus as the Christ, but had not matured in the faith. They were in great danger of returning to Judaism, while the Temple still stood. They needed to understand the superiority of Christ, who suffered death for our redemption and was better than the angels, better than Moses and Joshua, having offered a better sacrifice and was a better high priest, The urgency of continuing in the faith is an exhortation for those Jewish believers and ourselves.
