There will be 7 classes (God Willing) Week 1 - The Two Debtors Luke 7 Week 2 - The Good Samaritan Luke 10 Week 3 - The Friend at Midnight Luke 11 Week 4 - The Parable of Luke 15 Week 5 - The Unjust Steward Luke 16 Week 6 - The Rich Man and Lazarus Luke 16 Week 7 - The Pharisee and the Publican Luke 18 Our goal will be to put into practice the key Bible reading techniques that will help us to read more effectively: 1. Context - what do the surrounding verses say that help us to understand the current section being read? 2. Echoes - where have I heard this before? Often "Cross References" found in some Bibles will help us to find those echoes. 3. Repeated words and phrases. What is being emphasized in the section being read? 4. Put yourself in the story! Try to imagine the emotion and the setting. 5. What are the lessons for us? Every Bible study must have some connection to our lives! We need to be transformed!
