Brother John Thomas foresaw this in the 1800s, calling Jewish colonisation of Judea the "nucleus of the kingdom of God." Ezekiel 36 declares the mountains will shoot forth branches and be tilled for "my people Israel"—exactly what we witness today. Isaiah 40 requires cities of Judah to receive good tidings of God's glory—they must exist first. Zechariah 12 demands inhabitants of Jerusalem and governors of Judah when nations gather against her. The settlement movement, born from a longing to reclaim biblical heartlands like Hebron and Shechem, continues to grow despite opposition.
